Shared behaviors are funny. People don’t realize how innate there responses are. My beard has some considerable length but I wouldn’t consider it too long. Probably because I know people with much more serious length out there.
Without fail I willl run into someone that hasn’t seen me in a while and the initial reaction is the same
- eyes widen
- pause
- smile
- Beard Sign
- This is where the beard comment comes in.
I’ve come to expect it. Frankly its a surprise when it doesn’t happen this way. I don’t believe they know its the ASL sign for beard it just kind of comes naturaly as they Marvel at the beard. I’m amused.
