Transformers Robots in Disguise is coming in the spring and from what we have seen shakes the lineup. If you follow Transformers Prime then you know what happened at the end of the series. There had to be some changes because

*SPOILERS*

In order to restore the Allspark Optimus had to merge with the planets core. You knew something big had to change for this to continue. Did this mean we would  be introduced to Hot Rod and then Rodimus Prime? Nah!

Robots in Disguise puts the popular character Bumblebee as the leader[PRIME?] of the Autobots and sends him back to earth to battle a faction of Decepticons. Here’s where things get all Avatar-ish. ‘Bee, from the Trailer, still communicates with Optimus in a ghost like image.

So that’s

• Bumblebee
• Optimus Prime [as a ghost]
• Sideswipe
• Fixit
• and None other than Grimlock

Just the few clips I’ve watched. Grimlock is not the Grimlock you remember. For one he doesn’t talk like a caveman any longer. He speaks full sentences. Adding Bumblebee and Grimlock tells me they are really going for the product gusto. Those are the faves. People love those characters. So why not put them front and center.
